Description

Come explore opportunities to #getoutside with our youngest learners and uncover ways to guide our students in developing a sense of Place and building relationships with the land. We will investigate how you might utilize outdoor spaces around you to bring meaningful connections to learning using mentor texts as a tool to make concepts accessible to our learners, while walking – whether that be in the community, a naturalized space or the schoolyard. We will explore the resource A Walking Curriculum for the Early Years with practical suggestions and ideas to support outdoor learning experiences as well as how educators can make thinking and learning visible. Our session will include a Padlet of resources for educators to take with them and ideas they can implement in the classroom, tomorrow!

Presented in EnglishK-2Author, Inquiry, Outdoor Education
