Description

Most preschool children speak and understand words built from more than one morpheme (e.g., playing, bigger, and cats). When children develop a deep understanding of morphemes as a construct, they have an easier time learning to read and spell words. In this workshop, we’ll delve into the “why” of early morphology instruction, and provide practical and fun ideas for teaching morphology in a primary classroom.
