The Subject of this Sentence

The Foundations of Language strand in the recently revised Language and English curriculum has created opportunities (and challenges) for teachers. This interactive workshop will explore engaging ways to help students craft powerful sentences, understand the elements of grammar and discover choices writers make when using grammar and sentence structure. Participants will be ready to move beyond “skill-and-drill” exercises to using adaptable strategies that transform sentence study into creative practice.
