The Whole Story: From Information to Influence

During the session, participants will engage in a process that invites students to recognize perspectives and ideologies in media news texts and how to critically interrogate how perspectives and ideologies shape the facts that are presented. The workshop will incorporate instructional strategies that encourage students to read deeply, interpret information, and understand how their own biases shape their perspectives as viewers and consumers of information.
