Description

How do you choose literature to share with your students? What are some important criteria to consider using books in your reading program? This session will offer participants an overview of how picture books and novels can help build an understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Strategies for choosing and using good books to enrich learning will be considered. This session will highlight recent publications for educators to consider in order to address identity, culture and thought topics and foster a love of reading. Handout provided.
