
Andrea Sisca (she/her/hers)
Andrea Sisca started her career teaching in Italy and England at international schools. She has been a teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board for seventeen years as a secondary teacher in Scarborough. She has taught various subjects, including English, Co-operative Education, Canada World Studies, and Food and Nutrition. She just completed five years as a Literacy Resource Teacher, supporting teachers in developing engaging, culturally responsive, and pedagogically sound literacy programs. Andrea is happy to be back in the classroom for 2024.
Andrea has been heavily involved in the destreaming initiatives at the TCDSB. In addition, she has written a variety of resources for the Catholic Curriculum Corporation, and Catholic Virtual Ontario. She has been an AQ instructor for Niagara University Parts 1-3 of Teaching English Language Learners. Andrea has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and is currently working toward a Masters in Business Administration.
