Dani Jansen (she/her/hers)
Dani Jansen is an educator with 20 years of classroom experience in middle and high school who recently transitioned to working with teachers as the Director of Teaching and Learning at St. George’s School of Montreal. She is passionate about helping students and teachers find their creative voices. Jansen draws on her own experience as a teacher when she writes. Her published works from Second Story Press include her award-winning debut YA novel, The Year Shakespeare Ruined My Life (winner of two Goldie awards), and her newest book, a middle-grade adventure, The Dog Heist (released September 1, 2026).
