Eric Fan (he/him/his)

Eric Fan is a picture book writer and artist who received his formal art training at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. His work is a blend of traditional and contemporary techniques, using ink or graphite mixed with digital. He works in collaboration with his brother Terry Fan, and sometimes his brother Devin. His first book with Terry was The Night Gardener (2016) All three brothers wrote and illustrated The Barnabus Project which was the recipient of the 2020 Governor General’s Award for Young People’s Literature –Illustrated Books.

Eric has a passion for vintage bikes, clockwork contraptions, and impossible dreams.
