Finnian Burnett (they/them/theirs)
Dr. Finnian Burnett is a writer whose work explores the intersections of the human body, mental health, and gender identity. They are a 2023 and 2026 recipient of Canada Council for the Arts grants and a finalist in the 2023 CBC nonfiction prize. Their work appears in Writer’s Digest, Geist, Pulp Literature, CBC books, and more. Their novellas-in-flash, The Clothes Make the Man and The Price of Cookies, are available through Ad Hoc Fiction and Off Topic Publishing respectively. Finnian’s flash fiction collection Redshirts Sometimes Survive is a love letter to the Star Trek fandom. When not teaching or writing, Finnian can usually be found boldly going to conferences and festivals with an ever-present cup of tea, though not Earl Grey.
