Jenny Ohrling (she/her/hers)
Jenny is a retired teacher and children’s book author (When We Go Back to School, Gracie’s Not Really a Land Mammal). Her passion for storybooks has continued in retirement as she visits classrooms to promote read-alouds and all of the incredible learning that goes along with them. Jenny has heard many teachers say they have “NO TIME FOR READ-ALOUDS” and feels passionate about helping educators understand why this can’t be! Jenny uses some favourite stories such as Bob and Otto, Effie, and Rain School in her presentation and makes the stories come alive with her activities and enthusiastic reading. Jenny performs in community theatre and welcomes the opportunity to talk and laugh with a large group of educators!
