
Kathleen Steele (she/her/hers)
Kathleen Steele has been a teacher with the Toronto Catholic District School Board for twelve years. She completed her teacher’s college at Queen’s University where her love for travel was sparked with a practicum in Morocco. She officially began her career teaching internationally in 2010 at the American School of Bangkok, where she helped create and implement a new intermediate language curriculum. When joining the TCDSB, she worked as an English, French, and Religion teacher, then moved on to teach elementary French for a short period of time.
Since 2014, she has taught multiple subjects at Loretto Abbey Catholic Secondary School and has focused on experiential learning through international experiences, literacy, equity, and destreaming initiatives. Since 2017 she has been the English Department Head at Loretto Abbey and has recently become the head of the Library as well. Outside of school, she is an avid reader, loves the outdoors and is a mom of two.
