Lana Button (she/her/hers)

Lana Button is an early childhood educator and an award winning Canadian children’s author. She has published over 20 titles including the early chapter book series Brianna Banana, Groundwood picture book, One Can which she cowrote with Eric Walters, and her new title Letter Babies, Get in Line. Lana’s books have been translated into several languages and have been recognized internationally for supporting empathy, resilience, and social emotional learning. She has been shortlisted for the Shining Willow Award, The Blue Spruce Award, and the Jean Throop Award among others, and has received the Crystal Kite Award, the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Award, the Bank Street Book Award and the New York Public Library Best Book of the Year.
