Lea Beddia (she/her/hers)

Lea Beddia is the author of four novels for young adults, specifically for striving readers. Her novels showcase strong female leads who face great odds but stand up for what is right and inspire activism among peers. “My Green Style” (Lorimer Children and Teens, 2025) is a climate fiction novel about upcycling and thrifting, and how to get people in power to make a change. “No Brainer” (Orca Book Publishers, 2026) is about a girl who will not stand to be “dress coded” at school when she is complying with the school’s rules. Lea is also a high school English teacher with over 20 years’ experience and has used books for striving readers to engage students in her classroom.
