Lori McCabe (she/her/hers)

Lori McCabe is an educator, instructional leader, and professional learning facilitator with over 26 years of experience in education. She is passionate about literacy instruction, assessment for learning, equitable teaching practices, and creating classrooms where all students can experience success. Lori currently works as a Student Success Coordinator with the Avon Maitland District School Board, supporting schools in the areas of literacy, instructional practice, student engagement, and assessment. Her workshops are known for blending practical classroom strategies with thoughtful reflection on student learning, helping educators strengthen instruction while making assessment more meaningful and manageable. Lori’s sessions often explore high-impact literacy practices, transparent success criteria, descriptive feedback, inquiry, and the thoughtful integration of AI to support equitable and responsive teaching.
