Michelle Vidad (she/her/hers)

Michelle Vidad is a passionate and accomplished educator with 23 years of experience supporting student learning and educator development across the elementary grades. Recognized for her leadership and commitment to equity-focused teaching, Michelle was honoured with the Marilyn Lennox Memorial Award for 2024–2025. Her work is grounded in inclusive, anti-oppressive literacy practices and a deep understanding of how to create meaningful, culturally responsive learning experiences. Michelle brings extensive expertise in curriculum planning, instructional coaching, and professional learning facilitation, having led sessions for staff meetings, NTIP programs, and union-led events. She is widely respected for her reflective and collaborative approach, empowering teachers to build capacity in evidence-based literacy strategies that enhance student voice, agency, and achievement. Michelle continues to be a lifelong learner, committed to fostering joyful and justice-centered classrooms where all students thrive.
