
Mirelle D’Mello (she/her/hers)
Mirelle D’Mello has been an educator with the Toronto Catholic District School Board for the past 5 years. While supply teaching, she completed the Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education program at OISE. During this time, she worked with the Academic Intervention Lab to conduct research on the efficacy of speech-to-text programs and its ability to support students with language impairments during the writing process; she presented her findings at the LDAO Conference in 2019. She is currently a Grade 5/6 classroom teacher, and empowers students through co-facilitating Student Council and the Intermediate Leadership Team. Outside of the classroom, Mirelle is an educator at the Royal Ontario Museum, teaching science and history to ROM Kids camp groups.
