Robin Bright

Robin Bright is a Professor Emerita from the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge. A former elementary teacher, she later earned her PhD and built a career as a researcher, teacher educator, and author focused on literacy development. She has received a Distinguished Teacher Award and served as a Board of Governors Teaching Chair. Robin is the author of several books, including Sometimes Reading is Hard (Pembroke, 2021). Her current research, published in the journal in education, highlights an encouraging reality: effective reading instruction thrives when we embrace both structured, evidence-based skills and a deeply supportive, responsive classroom environment.
