Social Emotional Learning linked with literacy??? YES!!! Teaching students to be more compassionate, responsible global citizens who care about themselves and others has never been more important. In this session, BC teacher and author, Adrienne Gear will share many ideas and lessons from her popular book Powerful Understanding. Adrienne will share practical ways to integrate SEL into your literacy lessons to help your students deepen their understanding of themselves, others, and the world. She will share lessons, student samples, and, of course, great anchor books to go with the lessons! Come to this session and leave inspired and ready to teach your students to be more confident, compassionate, and caring citizens!
