Description

At times, the early childhood classroom has become siloed in its approach to instructional practices. Children (and teachers) feel ushered and rushed between standards, topics, and time. This session will look at the structure of work choice as a place to meet grade level standards through playful inquiry into powerful content. Through classroom examples and discussion, participants will leave with a sense of the mutually beneficial integration of play and standards, and practical ways to try in their own classrooms.
