Powerful Thinking Across the Curriculum

Join BC teacher and author, Adrienne Gear, as she shares key concepts and ideas from her newest book, Powerful Thinking. She will begin with the importance of developing a “culture of thinking” in your classroom by providing students with both a clear foundational concept of thinking as well as a common language to talk about thinking. She will then focus on applying these thinking strategies into all areas of your curriculum using practical lessons and knowledge-building activities. As always, Adrienne will share many of her favourite “content-rich texts” to use as tools to model and nudge students’ thinking through engaged listening and oral language.
