JETS (Joy, Empathy, Thinking and Strategies), the destreaming model that has successfully been implemented in classrooms across the province, aims to create an individualized experience that helps students progress in their literacy development. This presentation was developed both for teachers new or “newish” to the model, and those who would like to take the “next step”, by better understanding both the macro and micro moves we make to ensure that we get the most out of our students. As always, the presentation will include all the latest developments in our classrooms including our latest strategies and activities, the implementation of Building Thinking Classroom ideals, and the use of our Feedback Form, in order to ensure Equitable Assessment Practices through Feedback Focused Assessment.
