Learning is Fun in ELP 1: The importance of play-based learning

Together we will take a peek inside our classroom and discover ways to support positive and effective learning environments, which foster the fundamentals of literacy through purposeful play. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, sing songs, listen to stories and recite rhymes, while building foundational literacy skills. We will discuss the importance of how play-based learning enhances children’s literacy and language development by gaining awareness of the sounds within words as well as the importance of language comprehension through conversations and open-ended questions.
