Zelinda Reinoso

Zelinda Reinoso (she/her/hers)

Zelinda Reinoso earned her Early Childhood Educator Diploma from George Brown College in 2001 and has been an active member of the College of ECE’s since 2011. After many years of working with children in daycare settings, Zelinda began working as a DECE with the Toronto Catholic District School in 2014 and is currently working at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic School in Toronto, Ontario. Throughout her career at St. Augustine, Zelinda has delivered many Roots of Empathy programs within her own classroom as well as committed herself to professional development opportunities. In February 2024, Zelinda and her students were featured in a news article with the Toronto Star, which highlighted how effective play-based learning can be. With over 20 years of experience working with children, her deep love and understanding of them has helped her foster their growth and development. Her desire to create a fun and inclusive learning environment, where children can learn through play has become her main focus as well as collaborating with families and colleagues.
