
Andrea Smith (she/her/hers)
Andrea Smith is a Library Technician with the TCDSB. She brings many years of experience in storytelling and engaging children through books and song to her library spaces. Andrea has also been part of a project to bring Indigenous Books to the forefront in TCDSB elementary libraries, through hosting Indigenous Storytellers, facilitating sharing circles and featuring books from Indigenous authors & illustrators from all over Turtle Island. Working closely with the TCDSB Indigenous Education Department, Andrea continues to find ways to use books as a means to create community, as well as Indigenous reconciliation and allyship in her schools. Andrea Smith was a RFTLOI 2025 Reading Award Recipient.
