I am an educator currently working with the Upper Grand District School Board as an Elementary Indigenous Education Resource Coach. I am a settler and a learner who is committed to embedding Indigenous content into instruction and learning. Books provide a great starting point for bringing Indigenous voices, perspectives and knowledges into the classroom. I have a passion for supporting young learners and have worked in collaboration with some Primary educators and the Indigenous Education Team to create a resource that highlights 11 picture books that can be used to support learning in the K-2 classroom.
