
Florence Koromilos (she/her/hers)
Florence Koromilos is an experienced educator with a deep commitment to advancing literacy education. With over 21 years of teaching experience across a variety of classroom settings, she is passionate about helping all students become confident readers and writers through evidence-based literacy instruction. Florence holds additional qualifications in reading and is dedicated to continually expanding her knowledge to better support both students and educators.
Florence works closely with educators through professional learning, training sessions, and workshops, sharing practical strategies for implementing the Ontario Language Curriculum and structured literacy practices in the classroom. She is passionate about translating research into engaging, classroom-ready instruction that improves student outcomes and builds teacher confidence.
Florence has presented at the ETFO Summer Academy and is excited to return as a presenter at Reading for the Love of It. She enjoys collaborating with fellow educators and sharing practical, research-informed approaches that make literacy instruction both effective and meaningful.
