Description

Join us as we explore how the multi-day read-aloud has transformed conversations, thinking and learning around race, equity and anti-oppression in Kindergarten to Grade 3 spaces. Powerful text selection, coupled with intentional conditions for learning, fosters a community of readers that can question and challenge societal “norms” and systemic “beliefs”. You will hear from three educators as they share their experiences at the classroom, school and system levels, and be invited to imagine the possibilities in your own setting as you engage in this critical anti-oppression work with our youngest learners.
